The Pot Bellied Pigs RFC Hong Kong are excited to announce that the 2022 Fat Boy 10s Tournament is scheduled to take place on September 10, 2022 at Kings Park Rugby in Hong Kong!

Given the continued Covid restrictions and quarantine and the associated uncertainty we experience in Hong Kong, it only makes sense to hold the tournament in Hong Kong for a second straight year. Our mission and vision regarding the tournament and our support of the development of rugby in Asia remains the same, and we very much look forward to the day that we can hold the Fat Boy 10s in the Philippines again. As of this writing, it seems likely that travel restrictions will continue to reduce over time, and we will be able to announce that Fat Boy 10s 2023 will again be held in the Clark / Angeles City area!

The Pigs would also like to take this opportunity to thank our members and sponsors for their generous support of the 2021 Fat Boy 10s tournament. As it was a locals-only tournament in Hong Kong, there were a lot of adaptations that we made, but we can confirm that all went according to plan, and the tournament was a qualified success! It was the first Fat Boy 10s held across 2 pitches and the first held outside the Philippines, but the social format remained the same which led to a great rugby day enjoyed by all who could attend. We also continued growing the women’s representation at the tournament with 5 women’s teams participating, up from 2 women’s teams in the 2019 tournament.

We strive to continue growing the Fat Boys 10s and to surpass these results at the tournament in 2022.
