Fatboy 10s Hong Kong
Returning home!
Started in 2021 due to the Covid restrictions, quarantine and the associated uncertainty experienced in Hong Kong, the club ran a locals-only tournament in Hong Kong.
There were a lot of adaptations that we made, and the tournament was a qualified success! It was the first Fat Boy 10s held across 2 pitches and the first held outside the Philippines, but the social format remained the same which led to a great rugby day enjoyed by all who could attend. We also continued growing the women’s representation at the tournament with 5 women’s teams participating, up from 2 women’s teams in the 2019 tournament.
The tournament raised funds for our various charitable partners, including:

As the tournament was such a success the club have decided to make it an annual event.
The 2022 event will consist of Men’s Vet’s, Men’s Open & Women’s Open, and held at the HKRU’s facilities at King’s Park.
